Recently,a delegation led by Vinda Damayanti Ansjar,Deputy for Waste,Hazardous and Toxic Materials Management at Indonesia’s Ministry of Environment,visited CNGR to learn about CNGR’s practices and achievements in green industry,environmental protection and ESG.The two sides also held in-depth discussions on strategic cooperation in waste and wastewater management,carbon management and environmental permitting.

  The delegation was warmly received by Shen Haijun,Assistant to the President of CNGR Advanced Material Co.,Ltd.;Deng Jiaxing,General Manager of the EHS Center;Magdalena Veronika,Executive Deputy General Manager,Public Relations,CNGR Indonesia Region;as well as representatives from CNGR’s Tongren and Ningxiang Industrial Sites and its ESG and EHS teams.

  At CNGR Tongren Industrial Site(Listed Entity),the delegation toured the recycling pretreatment workshop and the battery-grade lithium carbonate workshop,gaining first-hand insight into CNGR’s technologies and processes for resource recycling and battery recycling.

  At CNGR Ningxiang Industrial Site,the delegation visited the CNGR Science and Technology Museum and the Global R&D Center,where they learned in detail about CNGR’s technological innovation system and global development footprint.

  Following the site visits,the two sides held a dedicated meeting to discuss key topics including sustainable development initiatives and practical cross-border cooperation.

  At the meeting,CNGR’s EHS and ESG teams introduced the company’s scientific management and risk prevention and control practices across every part of its globally integrated industrial chain.

  Supported by core technological innovation across multiple fields,CNGR continues to increase its R&D and industrial investment in resource recycling and reuse and efficient green energy management,building a standardized green development system across the entire value chain.

  The two sides also held detailed discussions on issues of particular interest to the delegation,including EV battery recycling,waste gas and wastewater treatment,and full-process carbon footprint management,exchanging industry experience and ideas for cooperation.

  Shen Haijun said that CNGR has always pursued responsible development as a battery materials company,deeply integrating sustainability into its overall strategy and every stage of production and operations.

  By setting its“4050 carbon goal,”CNGR continues to optimize its energy-efficiency management system and steadily increase the share of green energy in its energy mix.CNGR has built an industry-leading water recycling system and taken the lead in applying MVR technology to industrial wastewater treatment,with the water reuse rate for its core products exceeding 99%.

  CNGR is also the first company in the world to industrialize the application of the Oxygen Enriched Side Blow Furnace(OESBF)process for laterite nickel ore smelting,enabling the safe discharge of waste gases and disposal of residues while improving the efficient use of low-grade resources.This has become a benchmark practice for low-carbon technological innovation in the industry.

  Vinda Damayanti Ansjar spoke highly of the visit,saying that it had been highly rewarding and had left a deep impression.

  She noted that CNGR’s forward-looking approach and tangible achievements in ecological and environmental protection,solid waste and wastewater management,and low-carbon technological innovation provide valuable reference for the upgrading of Indonesia’s green industries.

  She also expressed recognition of CNGR’s high-standard environmental management capabilities and its commitment to social responsibility in the course of its global development.She said that Indonesia’s Ministry of Environment would actively provide policy support and guidance for CNGR’s business development in Indonesia.

  Vinda Damayanti Ansjar expressed the hope that the visit would serve as an opportunity to establish a regular and long-term communication and cooperation mechanism between the two sides in areas including waste and wastewater management,carbon management and environmental permitting,and to jointly support Indonesia’s green industrial transformation and the sustainable,high-quality development of regional industries.
